Data processing
The data processing group of Experiment Electronics department is engaged both with data acqusition (DAQ) systems and with systems for montoring and analysis of the acquired data. Firstly, this consists in the management and administration of the required hardware, e.g. realtime compute platforms with operating systems Linux or LynxOS, or readout electronics modules. Moreover,, the FPGA on the readout boards are programmed, and the necessary device driver software for the host machine are developed. Finally, the group provides several software frameworks to allow scientists the implementation of experiment-specific readout and data analysis applications
