Steinhaus rooms equipment and location
Rooms:
- The Steinhaus offers 20 (10 double rooms and 10 single rooms) spread over three floors. Each room is equipped with a small fridge for drinks.
- Bathrooms: On the first floor, the rooms share communal showers, while the rooms on levels 2 and 3 each have their own shower and washbasin.
- Bed linen and towels: These are also provided in all rooms and are changed once a week.
Communal kitchen:
- Each floor has a well-equipped communal kitchen for shared use.
Prices:
- The cost of a room is 35,00 € per night. Some rooms have two beds and can be used as a double room for 45,00 € per night.
Location:
- The Steinhaus is located about one kilometer from the GSI/FAIR campus. A free shuttle bus regularly connects the Steinhaus with the GSI
Nice to know:
- The Steinhaus is also suitable for long-term stays of up to a maximum of 6 months
- On the first floor, the rooms share communal showers
- We reserve the right to remain flexible when selecting rooms so that we can offer accommodation to as many scientists as possible
- If you need fresh bedding/towels in between, there is an equipped box in each corridor. Please help yourself!
- Once a week the rooms get cleaned, at the same time the bed linen and towels are changed. Waste is disposed of additionally on two more days
- It is located about one kilometer from the GSI/FAIR campus, and a free shuttle bus connects the two locations (not on the weekend). The bus stop for buses to Darmstadt is a 2-minute walk away, Wixhausen train station is 15 minutes away and a shopping center is 10 minutes away
