The group INN manages and designs the complete IT-Infrastructure required to control and operate the GSI/FAIR accelerators.

Area of expertise include:

• ethernet network with more then 10.000 ports, dynamic VLAN association and authentication
• mass storage system with associated fibre channel network
• linux server system
• embedded linux systems booting
• high availability database systems
• linux server clusters with automatic failover and high availability
• technical support and configuration for the main control room
• design of network infrastructure for FAIR
