Current regulations for rerouting and traffic on the access roads
The new international accelerator center FAIR is currently being built at GSI. It is one of the world’s biggest research projects and will help to safeguard the future of Germany and Europe as centers of research. In addition, GSI and FAIR are one of the main pillars of scientific research in Darmstadt, a “City of Science”.
A comprehensive concept has been drawn up for the entire construction period. The concept regulates parking and the use of the access road. Moreover, it routes traffic through the forests and open areas around the construction site. The regulations affect all road users: cyclists, pedestrians, and horse riders as well as drivers of cars, trucks, and public transportation systems. To ensure your own safety and that of the other road users, we kindly ask you to stay on the designated routes.
