Helmholtz-Young Investigators Groups

Supported by Helmholtz Association and GSI

GSI participates in the Helmholtz programme of establishing Young Investigators Groups (YIG), in which excellent young researchers from Germany or abroad are supported in forming and leading their own independent investigators group. Characteristics of this programme are the tenure track option and the condition of close collaborations with universities.

Brochure "Successful Support for Young Academics"

Creating and managing one’s own research group for the first time and meanwhile being integrated within a renowned international working environment, gathering teaching experience, and also benefiting from the outstanding infrastructure of a major research center—this is the dream of every young scientist. For the Young Investigators Groups in the Helmholtz-funded research program of the same name, it’s no longer a dream—it’s a tangible reality.

In our brochure "Successful Support for Young Academics – The Helmholtz Young Investigators Groups at GSI" we introduce our Young Investigators Groups an their leaders to you in detail.
