And that's not all: the talks will be held in German and will take place at 4.15 pm. In November, the lecture will even be held in English, starting at 2.15 pm. So you can get to grips with the latest trends and expand your knowledge.

Information:

Muscular tension is often particularly noticeable in the cervical spine (cervical spine) and in the shoulder/neck area. This tension can be caused by psychological stress, lack of exercise and/or unphysiological sitting or working postures, which in the long term lead to overloading of the muscles.

This basic muscle tension (muscle tone) can be measured and assessed using electromyography (EMG).

For this purpose, surface electrodes are attached to the upper edge of the shoulder. The reference points are easily accessible when the collar button is open. After a short measurement period, the muscle tone in the shoulder/neck area is determined and analysed in a side-by-side comparison.

Depending on the measurement result, individual measures are derived to specifically counteract or reduce muscle tension. With the help of biofeedback training, participants can follow on screen how the measures have a direct effect on regulating tension.

In this way, they receive easy-to-implement tips and quickly learn effective exercises for stress regulation and muscle relaxation (including relaxation exercises, targeted muscle stretching), which can also be used specifically in the workplace.

Information:

Good vision at work is important

Glaucoma is often triggered by increased pressure in the eyeball, which can be caused primarily by a blockage of outflow in the anterior chamber of the eye. If the pressure continues to rise, this can damage the optic nerve and lead to increasing visual field loss.

When measuring intraocular pressure with a tonometer, the cornea is not touched. The cornea is flattened by a short, light puff of air. The resulting deformation of the cornea is measured by the device and a corresponding intraocular pressure is determined.

Important: Contact lenses should not be worn on the day of the measurement or should be removed at least 4 hours before the examination.
