Patent: Hadronen-Geschwindigkeitsmessgerät
(Hadron Velocity Measurement Device)
Internationale Veröffentlichungsnummer: (Patent Number): WO002014202499A1
The device allows non-destructive measurement of ion beam energy with absolute precision down to 0,1 %. Calibration with a high precission electron gun allows compensation of temporal deviation.

ValveControl_16
Device allows manual and remote operation of valves and automatic closing in case of interlock
Usable for switching ohmic or inductive loads (either 60 V / DC: 3 A or 125 V / AC1: 125 VA; AC15: 25 VA)
- open / close (on / off) buttons for manual usage
- indication of valve position (position switches) via LED
- 3 different interlocks for pressure in chamber A, B and independent one
- interlock signals are isolated mirrored and output
- no self-opening of valve
- remote in- and outputs for controlling the valve and reading its position and general interlock
- remote controlling of the valve via closing contact or 0-5 V signal (internal switch)
- all inputs and outputs optically isolated (outputs: open collector)
- buttons signals are executed prior remote signals
- restart lockout after power failure of internal or external supply
- different supply circuit for logic and isolated inputs / outputs
- separated and customizable supply for external load
- selectable pull-up resistors for outputs: open, close, general interlock
Detector chamber for COMPASS at SHIP (former MoDSS)
- contains silicon box detectors, preamplifiers, cooling
- compact design, light weight, transportable
- separated cooling of detectors and electronics
- allows close mounting of germanium detectors
AktiKon (Aktivitätskontrolle)
- provides additional safety functions in order to use radioactive targets
- controlls gate valves, pumps and target wheel depending on certain conditions like pressure in chamber and exhaust air tubes
- confirms to general safety standards
- activates sound and light alarm signals
- inhibits restart until user activates functions manually
- shows status of all connected sensors, pumps and target wheel
Beamcontrol
- controls the safety cup and "Strahlanforderung"- signal depending on user action and interlock condition
- prevents the cup from damage by frequently occurrence of interlock signals
- provides secure "Beam off" condition
- shows the position of the safety cup
EnergyMeasAutomatic
- calculates and shows the ion beam energy in MeV/u on seven segment display
- normalizes counted events depending on beam intensity
- scans magnetic fields within an adjustable range by applying specific currents
- provides start, stop as well as gating functionality in case of low beam intensity
- works in 4 different user selectable operating modes
- counts events, saves average values and transmitts eventdata to a PC
TargetWheelControl
- synchronizes the target wheel to an external puls with a maximum deviation of +-200µs @ 18,67 Hz rotating speed
- mean deviation is about +-30µs @ 18,67 Hz rotating speed
- works in 2 user selectable speeds
- provides safety functionality: wheel blocked, wheel too fast/too slow, wheel not starting, puls failure...
- provides increment encoder position signals
MNGMotorcontrol
- replaces damaged motor control board of Bruker magnet power supply
- consists of up-to-date power circuits
- provides manual motor control
- shows status of motion
- compares desired and actual value and generates interlock condition (not used)
Triggerbox
- generates pulses to synchronise data acquisition systems such as Beam Energy Controlling, Target Online Diagnosis, SHIPGuard Target Visualisation...
- let the user choose a certain target to trigger connected hardware
- low cost standard microcontroller board
PC Based Data Acquisition Systems - National Instruments - LabView
SHIPGuard TargetControl
- controlling a current source to systematically scan targets in rotating direction expand the Target Online Diagnosis System of R. Mann and calulates high detailed 3D images of targets while experiment is running
- Resolution in shown image
- horizontal: 10 µm
- vertical: 180 µm
- thickness: < 0,5 nm
SHIPGuard - MakroLoupe
- measures deviation of sequent makro pulses with µs resolution
- measures deviation of the desired position and the actual position (in time) of the target wheel per round
- shows both deviations in different histogramms
- saves date and time when selectable limit values have been exceeded
