Quick Dialing
In the GSI's telephone system the speed dial numbers listed below are pre-programmed. These numbers allow me to call any member working at the listed facilities without having to memorize the complete telephone number. For this purpose I proceed as follows:
First I select the speed dial number of the target with * 6NN. Then can I enter the extension number. If I do not know this number, I can choose between two options: either I dial the number in the right column of the table or I just wait 10 seconds. In both cases, I will be connected to the switchboard of the concerned institution.
The telephone information of the Deutsche Telekom can also be reached via quick dialing, the numbers are located in the lower table.
