Space Radiation Biology
Group leader: Dr. Charlot Vandevoorde
In our Space Radiation Biology Team, we are focusing on various aspects of the effect of ionizing irradiation on biological samples. One research focus is the investigation of the radiation risks of space missions, for which we are closely collaborating with the Space Radiation Physics team of GSI. Another important aspect is the development of new radiation therapy techniques, for which we work together with the Clinical Radiation Biology team.
