Guided tours through GSI and FAIR
You are welcome to visit our facility and have a look at the construction field of the new facility FAIR from the view point.
Book a guided tour at GSI/FAIR. The list below shows all dates that can currently be offered based on operational schedules and staff availability. You can register as an individual and add additional people to your reservation. Participation is only possible for children that are at least 12 years old. Tours take place with a minimum of ten participants. If there are too few registrations for your appointment, we will inform you beforehand.

Program of your guided tour
An introductory lecture offers you an overview of the facilities and the current research at GSI and in the future at FAIR. Afterwards the guided tour through the facility will take you to selected points of interest and you can have a look from the view point at the FAIR construction site. The total duration is approx. 2 hours.
During your visit our employees will guide you. Our guides strive to keep explanations comprehensible and suitable for your group.
Privacy Policy
We process your personal data, which you enter into this form, according to German Data Protection Law and only for the purposes to handle your request and potentially organise your guided tour.
We do not transmit your personal data to third parties. Also, your personal data is not being processed outside of Germany.
All of your personal data is only saved as long as it is needed for the purposes given above (handling your request or the services requested) unless we are obliged by law to save it for longer.
Costs
A visit of the GSI-facilites is free of charge. We are a publicly funded research institution. For this reason our tours are free of charge and may not be used commercially by third parties.
Persons with disabilities
The walkways during the visit are mostly at ground level and therefore suitable for wheelchair users. Please allow for longer walking distances (about 1000 meters). Persons with pacemakers are not allowed to enter all areas of the research facility. These areas are designated separately. Please inform us in advance if persons with disabilities or health impairments will be attending the tour.
